Romania (2011), 62’ Director Mihai Andrei Leaha
Synopsis: The film follows Broscatu, a local storyteller from Maramureș for three years. Broscatu is a broomstick maker, a family head, a sociable and religious person and an ex convict. His stories move from fairy tales, magical-beliefs stories towards intimate confessions. But his narratives also reflect upon the filmmaking process itself. Suddenly the stories stop. “I was a poor man and I always will be. Poor here but rich up in the heavens”.
